Anyone from HP on here? Found a problem...
Hello everyone, I need to get a message to the higher powers over at HP. For years HP has offered the "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics 4-IN-1 USB KEY" for field tech service and it WAS FANTASTIC. They frequently update it (currently on v6.4.0.0) HOWEVER shortly after v5.3.0.0 they broke the bootable USB creation part of the tool... Which is the entire purpose of the tool haha. I have reached out several ways and can't get anyone that has any knowledge or power to fix this issue. HP frequently updates the tool package so I know they are investing time into it but how no one has noticed it hasn't worked in over a year is mind blowing.

There is a thread on this
It seems @RNR1995 found a way to fix it. Read the fix.
I'm not an HP employee.

I think this is by design and there is a note to that effect. I would prefer to have the USB boot up and run the latest diagnostics but it wont happen. Possibly running it on a non HP system caused the design change.
As @TheOldMan mentioned there are known problems. At one time it had to be run on an HP system to unpack the software and another expert here noticed the latest version was updated on some laptops but not on others.
