My integrated original HP SD card reader worked perfectly on windows 8

but now on windows 11 it doesn't appear

I didn't find a windows 11 driver

What is the solution?

I took the risk and updated the BIOS to F.48 successfully

The SD card reader appears as a Disk as Generic SD02G SD card ( Dispositif de stockage numérique sécurisé ) and I can read what is on the SD card

I don't understand exactly how its works but it works

Hi Tank you

The PC was furnished with windows 8, then migrated to windows 10 and finally to windows 11

I tried both proposed drivers but the SD reader still doesn't appear

Is it recognized in the device manager, in error, nothing at all?
give captures of the settings, as i show in my links

it would be simpler, in our language, thin, we can' t here ..
intel, it can't work, you have realtek card , normally
the original pilots are for that in any case!

now I have doubts, compared to your capture, I certainly do not have the same model, but I see yours
what is sd host cards?
do you have a usb mass storage device, is it an external hdd drive?
so under usb controller i have here the usb card reader..
if it does not appear, at least in error, you cannot install a driver
It may be necessary to open and verify, unless you have done something other than installing windows, which could have disabled the card.?

sorry but , I ask about what is seen in your picture..

I ask the question because I don't have this with any of my computers.

it will be necessary to open the computer, disconnect the reader, restart
open device manager, check if still present
and then reconnect the sd card, and see if at startup, there is the detection process, and a sign in the device manager..
if the card is not even detected, impossible to install a driver
