Hi @1N124803TB,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP desktop is not powering on. Sorry to hear about the issue. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can follow:
Step 1: Check Power Source and Cables
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the desktop and the wall outlet.
- Try a different wall outlet or power strip.
- If using a power adapter, check for any visible damage or loose connections.
Step 2: Look for Signs of Power
- Do you see any lights on the power button, keyboard, or inside the case?
- Do you hear any fans or beeps when pressing the power button?
If there are no signs of power, continue below.
Step 3: Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the power cord from the desktop.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and try turning it on again.
Step 4: Test with Minimal Hardware
- Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
- If you're comfortable, open the case and reseat the RAM and power cables inside.
Step 5: BIOS Restore:
1) Shut down the computer, keep the USB Keyboard & Mouse plugged in
2) Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
