I have 3 USB ports that were fully functional 3 months ago but now only the one on the far left is functioning.  My USP ports are on the back of my computer.   Please help me get the other 2 USB port working

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Checked the I/O for your PC.

It appears the two USB ports out of commission are USB 2.0 ports. The functional port is a USB 3.0 port.

Each USB type (2.0 vs 3.0) runs off of separate motherboard (MB)controller chips.

This means the MB USB 2.0 controller chip may have failed.

But first check Control Panel, Device Manager. Look at Human Interface Devices and Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Do you see any error conditions?

Right click on the possible device with an error, select update drivers.

See if this helps. Also Check Windows Update. Reboot the system to see if the error corrects itself.

The MB may need to be replaced if you cannot correct this problem by installing new USB drivers.

Regards
