Attempted to install a 32GB Optane module into my grandfather's HP Pavilion. I updated BIOS to from F.14 to F.44 and rebooted. It started normally. I shut it down and installed the M.2 drive. Tried to boot it, and it failed. On a few attempts, there was a beep code with 2 long beeps and 2 short beeps. Removed the drive, and I again couldn't get it to boot. I cleared the CMOS and that did get it back to normal. I'm just wondering if I can still get it to work.

Those links are highly unhelpful. I verified hardware compatibility and followed both HP's and Intel's instructions.

You have not install the required Intel support, IF your motherboard supports it.
