Hello everyone
I specify that my English being defective I use the translator of MICROSOFT.
- PC Config=P6-2423efm MOTHERBOARD= Foxconn Joshua H61-uATX CPU= Intel Celeron G2020 (TDP 55W) FAN CPU= AVC 1322-00GR0H21 RAM= 4GB ddr3 1600
- 2 x HDD ST500DM002 (500GB) + WD10EZEX (1000Gb) CD 😄 VD = DH 16ACsHR POWER BOX = 300W BIOS System JOS_815ro V8.15
- I would like to change the current CPU (G2020 TDP 55W) to an Intel CORE I5-3470 (TDP 77W) This CPU is compatible on the list of CPUs of the Joshua H61
On the HP document "setting processor level or replacement"
1 - TDP specifies: Do not attempt to install a processor with a higher TDP rating than specified in the specifications.
2 – On the information relating to the upgrade of Joshua's processor (TDP: Varies according to the processors)
3 - I found on the site "HP Support" a cupertno3 H61-uATX motherboard (Which looks identical to the Joshua H61?) where is indicated on the list of compatible CPUs: (TDP: 35 W to 95 W (attached to the processor))
Can someone explain to me how to understand this information and if I can change the CPU.without additional changes?
Thank you for your attention

But no need to worry about this model which is possibly different

some elements are not the same
although could be applicable to both
the processor list, slightly different for the Cupertino3

hi
you should rely on what is recommended for your motherboard
the other may look the same, but may be different, in which case the processor may not work
now is it only your processor, which needs to be changed..?
How to identify what is slowing down the computer

Hi, @Lesergedu03
This link shows the list of supported processors for the Joshua motherboard, but when you use Edge you have to click on the cached page, so the specs show up, because I think HP is in the process of removing old information.
According to the processor upgrade specs, I don't see a problem installing the Intel CORE I5-3470 (TDP 77W) processor.
That wattage is listed as supported.
Here is a copy and paste of the processor upgrade specs for the H-Joshua-H61-uATX (Joshua) motherboard.
