Hi Community, I hope someone can help me
I have a hp z620, it started to give me some issues, the pc automatically turned off without a reason, after it was turned off, it would not boot, it would only start with the rear button, at the moment it does not boot with any button, the pc tries to boot but after 2 seconds it turns off, I tried to remove all the parts one by one, clean the CMOS, replace the PSU, change the battery but nothing solved my problem. The only thing I do not understand because the hdd led activity is always on as in the attached photo.

Hi Mrodriguez,
It sounds like you have a rather unusual fault with your HP Z620, i.e. it does not fit within the standard error codes for the HP Z620 workstations since they are generally indicated with the power button LED turning red and a series of beeps (error codes). It appears that the motherboard itself will not boot even to the BIOS.
I also have a HP Z620 workstation and the only scenario I can re-create that makes the HDD activity led stay on fully, (not flashing like normal), is when you hold in the power button to force a hard shutdown of the workstation. ( The green HDD stays on and the power button led switches off). This would imply that the power switch itself may be the culprit and have a short circuit, (as if permanently pressed in). If possible, I would try and test the power switch.
I would also suggest you visit the HP Customer Self Repair Services Media Library for a detailed guide and video on accessing the power switch.
