It has the Rother motherboard, which has an Intel H370 chipset.

 

Looking up the H370 chipset specs on the Intel website, it indicates that the PCIe revision is 3.0.

Many thanks! I currently have GTX1660 6GB graphic card. My photo editing software recommends 8GB.

The PC has a 400 PSU

Do you have any suggestions for a suitable upgrade?

You're very welcome.

 

I recommend that you start a new discussion on upgrading the graphics card, because I am unfamiliar with what is out there nowadays and don't do anything with my PC's that requires a substantial graphics adapter.

 

What you have now puts my Nvidia GT1030 2 GB card to shame,  😊
