Is it perhaps possible to get a 500w PSU for my 790-0020? I'd like to upgrade it.

Are you absolutely sure this will work with my system, also does have a 6 pin with an extra 2 PCIe connector for a GPU?

Hi @WinterForestDwe

Nothing is certain in life. I have seen many folks use this HP PSU in the 790 series case with success. Folks have used the 500 watt part in the 690 series case.

All of the MBs in these cases have the connections required by the 500 watt PSU.

Maybe a different Forum member can confirm. Wait for a second opinion.

The 500 watt HP power supply has 6+2 pin PCIe and 6 pin PCIe connections for discrete graphics cards.

Hi @WinterForestDwe

Check this YouTube video showing a HP 500 watt PSU installed in a 690 case.

You are limited to one screw to secure the PSU to the case but the PSU works with the MB.

Alright that makes me happy to see, 1 screw is also fine thanks for the PSU recommendation.
