HP Omen 870-101no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought the HP Omen 870-101no in april 2017 and it has worked fantastic.

Now I have looked at some potential upgrades that I can make. The PSU that is in the computer right now is an 300w ATX E-Star 6.0 Bronze with an 80mm fan. I want to upgrade it to an Be Quiet System Power 9 500w but that PSU has an 120mm fan instead of an 80mm.

I haven’t seen any PSU:s that have a 80mm fan, 120mm seems to be the new standard.

Do I have to buy a PSU with an 80mm fan or is there any other way to fit one with an 120mm fan in aswell?

@TheZlatan1000,

What matters is the physical dimensions of the new PSU. Another factor is the RPM of this PSU.  Suggest CPUID HWMonitor to make note of your fan's speed.  If the new PSU has the capability of a lower speed it might trigger an error 501 Fan Speed.
