Thank you for the additional information.
One of the first things I noticed on the Seller's ratings page is this customer's feedback:
You want to very carefully check (use a magnifying glass) at the Ryzen's bottom to make sure you didn't end up with a similarly compromised CPU:
Any flaws are a bit more difficult to identify on an AMD CPU than an Intel processor.
If you don't see any issues, I would contact the Seller asap. Even though it says that this "Seller does not accept returns", if you got a defective processor either the seller or eBay will reimburse you. Trust me, I had to, let's say, flex my reasonings a few times to get a fair sales closure.
Kind Regards,

Yes, the PC you referenced, an HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-1055m (20W61AA) as fitted with an Erica3 motherboard (SSID: 87D6) IS fully compatible with a Ryzen 7 4700G:
A non-defective Ryzen 7 4700G (if that is what you got) should fire right up sans any issues whatsoever.
Please provide the link you ended up purchasing this processor from, and if you don't mind, provide a picture of your processor.

Even though it really shouldn't matter, it wouldn't hurt to make sure that your PC got the latest BIOS update, version F.44:

To rule out a graphics card issue, and since the Ryzen 7 4700G features the Radeon Vega 8 integrated graphics, remove your graphics card, and try to start up your PC with your monitor connected to your motherboard's video (HDMI) port.
