HP Desktop - M01-F1002na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey all,

I'm new here and was wondering, what power supply do you guys recommend for a HP 8768 motherboard? I need it for my graphics card upgrade, should be rated for no less than 400W. I bought a power supply but then quickly realized that HP has a 7 pin power connector, and with some research I found out it's a HP specific thing, and there are no adapters or anything - and what's worse is, people say that there different schematics for different PC's from HP! Hence why I wanted to make sure I'm getting the right PSU.

Thank you.

Your HP Desktop - M01-F1002na (1D9Y4EA) is likely fitted with a 180-watt power supply, with p/n: L81008-800 "Power Supply - 180W ENT20 Gold" -please verify.

Your HP BakerMS motherboard (SSID: 8768) is compatible with a 400-watt power supply with p/n: L04618-800 which is equipped with one 6+2-pin PCIe power cable, or a 500-watt power supply, with p/n: L05757-800, which is equipped with one 6-pin PCIe and one 6+2-pin PCIe power cables.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
