Problem updating TPM v1.2

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Regarding difficulties running the HP TPM Configuration Utility (for desktop 600 G2), please refer to the following locked thread for which I cannot add a new reply:

I followed the instructions listed in the locked thread but I had to run the utility 2 times in a row even though after running the utility for the first time, the screen stated that the TPM chip had been successfully upgraded to v2.0 while the TPM.MSC still displayed v1.2.
