My pc is now three years old and I have noticed it is slow.
I was told that replacing the hdd with a ssd and adding 8 gb of ram could improve. And the fan does not work when I turn on the pc gives error and I have to press enter.
And my question is that fan could buy?
I have antivirus because I do not think the reason is a virus.
Could you guide me?
Greetings

Hi @Pacopjds
Good to see the M.2 drive has improved performance.
The image looks like you holding a 4 pin 12v RGB connector to the MB and a Molex power connector to the power supply.
I don't think your MB has any 4 pin 12v RGB headers. I would not know if the power supply has Molex connectors.
Maybe the 4 pin 12v cable from the fan can connect to the RGB controller when the MB does not have a 4 pin RGB header. You might then need a Molex to SATA power adapter from the RGB controller to the power supply to provide power to use the fan's RGB function.

Greetings Pacopjds,
I don't know if I can help. You have two distinct problems:
1. A fan error at startup
2. The PC is running slow.
1. The fan error could be a MB sensor problem or you may need to replace the fan. Is the fan working correctly when the PC is running?
You may have to live with the fan error if the fan spins when the PC is running. Or check the fan for a HP Part number. See if you can buy this HP fan online somewhere.
You could also measure the fan. The fan could be a 80 mm fan or a 92 mm fan. Buy a retail fan having the same dimensions and the correct 3 or 4 pin connector matching the MB fan header.
2. Solving a slow PC problem is very complex. Replacing the slow HDD with a SSD and adding memory will help. The MB has a M.2 socket for storage. I don't know if the M.2 socket supports NVME SSDs or SATA SSDs. HP does not disclose this stuff.
I would think HP would do a NVME, PCIe drive in the M.2 socket.
Or you could replace the slow platter HDD with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD.
The MB supports two 8 GB memory modules for a total of 16 GBs of memory.
Check Task Manager. How many Startup Apps do you have? Then check the Performance Tab. How many Processes are running? I have 5 startup apps and 119 processes running on W11 23H2 as I respond to your post.
I would guess you have many more startup apps and processes running. Many startup apps and excessive processes running will kill performance.
Controlling the number of processes running while not breaking Windows is a separate topic.

hello thank you for replying,
Well I have decided on a PCIe nvme as the manufacturer says that the MB supports sata but when I uncovered my quipo the hdd is with an ATA cable and I know it is not compatible. Why not if I just change the ata cable for a sata.
And with the processes I only have 100 processes and boot applications only have the antivirus Karsperky internet security.

Hi @Pacopjds
That's great, you only have around 100 processes running.
So the memory upgrade and the SSD upgrade would be the way to go. I would check Crucial for compatible memory. Use the Memory Scanner at Crucial. Crucial also sells 2.5 inch SATA SSDs.
Hopefully an NVME M.2 drive works with the M.2 socket. Most HP consumer MBs support NVME but I have seen a few HP MBs that only support SATA drives in the M.2 socket.
Your MB (image below) has an M.2 socket beneath the PCIe x16 slot located near the 24 pin ATX connector.

Greetings I already installed the m.2 and it is as if I had bought another computer.
I also bought another cooler the Hyper h410r and I found out that it brings a mini control and could you help me locate where this piece would go? The manufacturer says it is connected to the power supply but I don't know what pin or pins I should use. The model of the control is WIRED RGB CONTROLLER C10L and says it is 12v, 4 pins, 2A and I attach a picture of the mini control.
