Product: OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-224
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-224 with a Odense2-K motherboard, and I am wondering what CPUs can be used to upgrade it. On the product specs page, it says to upgrade with a Kaby Lake processor. Do I have to use one of these processors, or will any LGA 1151 65W chip work?

Hi:

 

Those are the only processors supported.

 

I checked the available BIOS updates and revision histories, and none of them add support for additional processors.
