Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am new to this site and bit of a novice,I have a HPZ600 which I love and  great work horse

i have just purchased a Quardo FX 5800 GPU I believe you call them in the PC World.

I understand you need a power supply to connect to this GPU

what cable would I need to connect, will I need 6 pin power male ?  and then 8 pin GPU Female?
any help would be very much appreciated.

I think I know where the confusion would come from, is that it?
If you only have a 6 pin adapter to your power supply
You therefore need a 6-pin female adapter, with two adapters for the 6-pin and 8-pin male graphics card!
This is the confusion, no ?

something like this

En lab – carte graphique Molex 6 broches, PCI Express vers 2 x PCIe 8 (6 + 2), PCI e, GPU, VGA, Hub, câble d'alimentation | AliExpress800 × 800

Hello
you need the connectors shown, it is clearly visible with the picture given
The graphics card in the picture has a 6 and 8 pin female connector.
Is that what you won't understand?

Hello,

I am just wondering it the  card would work Withe just the power 6 pin power to 8 pin power GPU

HP Recommended

For your card to work, you must have sufficient power for the chosen graphics card. '( 300w 500w 600w .. power supply  )
If you don't have a connector required, also I doubt the board is getting enough power, so shouldn't work normally or at all.
I don't remember seeing anyone tested, and I haven't tried either!

Are you talking about the additional pci connectors that are required for your board?
i don't understand what you mean, the picture, may not match your model, but it is well written:
Connect the auxiliary power adapter cable to the power supply 2 and to the graphic card 3
