My 1st RAM slot doesn't work but my 2nd slot does. I tried inserting my current RAM stick and my newly purchased RAM stick in the slot, but my PC would power on and then beep 3 times, then 2 short times. However, both of my RAM sticks work in the 2nd slot. I'm currently using 8gb of RAM and I want to upgrade to 16gb, and my motherboard has 2 RAM slots. Any fixes?

@Jdub27 , welcome back to the Community.
Did you have memory in Slot #1? If so, it may have gotten damaged when removing or installing the stick. The only thing that I will recommend is using canned air and gently blowing it into the slot to see if it will solve your problem. Otherwise, you have done everything that you can do. Memory slots are not normally user repairs.
Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.
