I am planning to upgrade my RAM. The motherboard information says that it 'Supports PC4-21300 (DDR4-2666)'. Does this mean that I cannot use DDR4 ram with more than 2666 MHz speed?

So in this case it might work .. but it might be useless, because it will work at the max supported speed
a risk to take or not!

hi
16 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)
do you need more?
Intel® Core™ i7-9700 (3 GHz base frequency, up to 4.7 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 12 MB cache, 8 cores)
the processor could handle faster memory, but nothing says it will work if it does

I reviewed the motherboard information on HP's website and Intel's website for i7-9700 processor before posting my question here. Both say memory type DDR4-2666 MHz. Hence my question, would a faster RAM module work with this Mobo+Processor?
