Hi. I recently purchased Desktop M01-F0020. It should have 8GB of RAM installed but everywhere I look it says only 6GB is installed. I've tried updating the BIOS but it did not help. I've used msconfig to clear the Maximum memory checkbox but it did not help. I ran the HP RAM diagnostic tool and it passed 6GB of RAM and not 8GB. Customer support wants to replace the entire computer but I've already invested days setting it up. Any idea how to fix just the RAM issue? Thank you!

Looks like it has 2 pieces 2GB+4GB, The specs says it has 1 piece 8GB

You have to return your machine OR please talk with them to send you one 8GB piece and you will send back two pieces (2GB and 4GB).
Regards.
