Hi,
I am trying to upgrade the RAM on my system but the system does not boot when i install either 1 or both of the new RAMs. However if i use my old RAM it works like a charm. Can you please help me with this?
Motherboard : MS-7613 Ver2.0
Slots: 2 Blue
BIOS Revision : 6.07 11/29/10
Core Version: 08.00.15
Old RAM: 2GB pc3 10600U
NEW RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600
I have tried 2GB pc3 10600U + 8GB DDR3 1600as well, but no luck.
I was hoping even if the new RAMs were higher clock , it would come down to the max supported by the board. please correct me if i am wrong and also help me understand the best practices for choosing a compatible RAM for a given Motherboard and CPU.
Thanks in advance.
