Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Your HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0005na (8UD33EA) according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06515301 and: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06432435, is fitted with the Rother motherboard (SSID: 8653), which allows up to 2 x 16GB of DDR4 PC4-21300, running at 2666 MHz max.
This can be verified looking at the UserBenchMark entries here: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-Pavilion-Gaming-Desktop-TG01-0xxx/160592, which show that select RAM models/brands achieve running at 2666 MHz, such as:
Micron 16ATF2G64AZ-2G6E1 2x16GB
Crucial CT16G4DFD8266.C16FD1 2x16GB
Samsung M378A2K43DB1-CTD 2x16GB
Samsung M378A2K43CB1-CTD 2x16GB
Samsung M378A1K43CB2-CTD 2x8GB
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,

hi
only certain models have this type of function
if you have replaced a module it may be incompatible with the one in place / motherboard , in this case, either it will take exactly the same as the original
or find two compatible modules!
to know from what I have already read here it can happen that modules cannot work at the right speed (reference problem, model, brand)
https://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c06515301

As has been well documented, HP computers are finnicky when it comes to RAM and achieving max RAM speeds.
If your current RAM is not running at 2666 MHz, it is almost certain it can't.
As I indicated in my previous post, only specific RAM will run at 2666 MHz on your PC.
And no, you can't really upgrade your motherboard on your HP Pavilion Gaming TG01-0005na desktop.
Btw, RAM running at 2666 MHz is plenty fast for gaming, especially if it is paired with a decent graphics card and processor.

"i recently upgraded my ram to 16gb from 8gb and the ram speed is 3200 yet its only running at 2133 "
You don't need to change the motherboard, but the module..
you have a 2666 mhz module as standard, according to hp
PC4-21300 (DDR4-2666)
and you try a different, unsupported module
as i mentioned, you need the same 8 gb module, if you want to upgrade to 16 gb in 2666..
Or 2x 8 gb PC4-21300 (DDR4-2666) news compatibles modules
You can test with the crucial site, not 100% guaranteed but that and often correct!
