 For the next time, before pulling the trigger and purchasing upgrade hardware, take a look at the HP PartSurfer to ensure that parts fit the model you have. It will save you some grief and cash.   You will need to know the product number of your notebook.

Yea I checked that out before.  It's not very helpful honestly.  I checked about 65+ prodesk 600 g3 numbers looking for the wifi and nothing popped up.  Ditto on the SD card reader.  HP makes it ridicously stupid, when upgrading a PC should be simple.  I think this is why I build my stuff.. .it's always easy to upgrade/everything works.  I kinda got handed this desktop but it will probably be the last HP that I use, everything about it feels cheap...lol
