I just purchased a new elite display monitor which comes with its own drivers. After I installed the drivers for the monitor i kept getting a "ethost" error. Soooo, I went to control panel to see which programs/drivers were added recently. It indicated the monitor drivers and also hd intel drivers. Well, I uninstalled the hd intel drivers and now on boot up I have a total black screen. I know about safe mode, just cant see it. I can also hear the computer going all the way to startup with Windows chime, but like I said I cant see it. Please HELP.

Hi:
If you can't see anything at all, just keep tapping the F8 key and hope the PC goes into safe mode.
The Intel graphics adapter driver is a required driver.
I'm not sure why uninstalling it resulted in absolutely no display though.
That shouldn't have happened.

Is it possible that somehow you changed the input on the monitor?
I have a Dell monitor that has a few inputs, and if I am on the wrong input, I get nothing, even though the PC is running.
I have to press a button on the lower front monitor bezel to select the right input. It's not automatic.

Well at least you know the graphics adapter isn't shot, since you see the HP welcome screen.
Disconnect the DP cable, run it off the VGA output only, and see if you get an image that way.
Otherwise yes, clear the CMOS by pressing the little yellow button for around 15 seconds.
Make sure you shut down, unplug the PC, press the power button to drain any residual power to the motherboard, and disconnect everything connected to the PC...monitor, KB, mouse...everything.
