HP Notebook - 14-cf0335nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I earlier raised a question - here https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Neeed-to-buy-power-cable-for-HP...

I understand I need to replace the battery. It was earlier giving really less backup time but now it is just 5 - 10 minutes. The laptop is little less than 3 years old and I Have this problem for more than a year. I wish I had raised this earlier obtained support.

My battery needs replacement and thanks to you guys I got the part number. The  part surfer website doesn't load It has many 404 in console.

Description                                                                          Spare part number
Battery, 3 cell, 41 Whr, 3.6 Ah Li-ion                              L11119-855

System board hook                                                             L23206-001

I got the above parts from @Dragon-Fur

I wish to know if I need to buy the system board hook along with the battery ? Or is it optional ? How do I know if the battery is broke or the hook is broke too.

Thanks !

@ijay -- when I do the search: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=L23206-001

I see:

Part Number Description

L23206-001
MOTHERBOARD/BASE HOOK

That is a different description that what you cited.

The above description seems to be for a quite-different part-number than your battery.

If your computer already has that part, you can reuse that part, when you insert the replacement battery.

Also, that part-number shows as "N/A" to be purchased from HP.
