My USB front panel module is broken and I bought a new one.
Can sombody give me the step by step instructions to replace the USB module. How do I remove it from the front panel?
I have the computer open and the front panel is off!
Thank you!

Hi
I have reversed engineered quite a few HP desktop. Have not done any recently. The card reader is not permanently attached (riveted). A couple of screws have to be removed but they are not in obvious locations.
You will have to remove the front bezel, CD/DVD, drive and the side panel.
It is not easy to remove the card reader but it can be done.
Can't give you detailed instructions.
Take your time and analyze as you go. The mounting points are there.
You may have to lay the tower on one side. Then look for screws attaching the drive to the side of the chassis. There may be screws attaching the drive to the front of the chassis (located inside of the chassis). Screws may be attached to the CD/DVD bay. Viewable from underneath the CD/DVD enclosure.
There may be additional mount points at the top of the chassis which can be seen when you remove the side panel and the optical drive.
