HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-5000i (8R3Q6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

There are no additional power leads from my PSU to fit the RTX 1060ti. Will I need an upgraded power supply for this.

The motherboard has a XPCIEXP /  X16PCIEXP socket 16 pins   The RTX 1060ti requires an 8 pin connector

That's should be an RTX 4060ti.. Found requirements for the intel i7 and the graphics card is 550 Watts but what brand is compatible with this computer?

Hi @themajortom,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To install an ASUS GeForce RTX 1060 Ti in your HP ENVY TE01 5147C, you will indeed need an upgraded power supply (PSU) if your current one lacks the necessary power connectors. The RTX 1060 Ti typically requires a minimum of 450-550 watts, depending on the specific model and manufacturer. Look for a PSU with at least 80 Plus Bronze certification for better efficiency. Brands like Corsair, EVGA, and Seasonic are highly compatible and reliable. Ensure the new PSU has an 8-pin PCIe connector for the graphics card.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
