Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am looking to buy a SCSI controller that is compatible with my HP Pavilion computer.

Motherboard is: Foxconn 2ABI      PCI 2.0

I am looking for a specific controller that will work or suggestions how to figure out what SCSI controller is compatible with my computer.   Need a 68 pin connector on the controller for an external tape drive.

Thank you in advance.

Note:  I am attempting to attach an HP Ultrium 448 Tape Drive to my computer.  This is 68 pin.  I have old tapes that I need to attempt to read for archived information.

Adaptec made some earlier model cards that have pci and 68 pin connectors, search on ebay here's a quick list of cards that will support tape units with various bus interfaces

I personally recommend LSI

lsI is now part of broadcom, however these drivers are found everywhere on the internet

LSI: (PCI) most systems use this

LSI00025

LSI: (PCIE-X)  most workstations/servers use this

LSI22320-R

Where do you connect this pci card?

there are already many links in pci 1x, if it is not suitable, I strongly advise you to ask professionals for this type of material
