Hello,

Could you please help me to identify my SM Bus Controller Driver, as well as the  PSP 2.0 device drivers, in order to install it on my pc?

Thank you in advance,

Happy New Year!

Hi:

Happy New Year to you too!

Download and install the W10 64 bit AMD chipset drivers from the link below and restart the PC.

970 Drivers & Support | AMD

That should install both of those devices.

@LAcc_22 -- is this your computer: HP Pavilion Desktop - 510-p100nv PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

In 2016, it was shipped with HP-modified version of Windows 10.

Why are trying to re-install Windows?

Are you trying to re-install Windows from some "non-HP" installation media?

Hello,

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
I have downloaded and installed succesfully the "amd-chipset-drivers_18.10_0830.exe", that I found on the section "Windows 10 - 64-Bit Edition AMD Chipset Drivers" from the above mentioned link. Then I restarted the pc, but in the device manager I see that the drivers have not been installed.

Could you please help me in order to overcome this behavior? I had a look at the installed amd software, but unfortunately I did not managed to find a related topic for drivers. The only action I should do is to download and install the "amd-chipset-drivers_18.10_0830.exe" or should I install something from this software?

Kind regards

You're very welcome.

Since the auto install method didn't work, you will have to manually install the drivers.

I took the files you need out of the chipset drivers, zipped them up and attached them below.

Download and unzip the two files to their folders.

Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

I will walk you through manually installing the SMBus controller driver and then you will do the same thing for the PSP driver.

Go to the device manager.  Click on the SMBus controller needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option, and browse to the SmBus driver folder you unzipped.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver will install.

Then do the same thing for the PSP device.

After both drivers have been installed, restart the PC.

Hello,

Thank you for your help.

After downloading the "AMDPSP.zip" and extracting it, I tried to update the driver manually, but I received the message that "the best driver for your device are already installed. Windows has determined the driver is up to date".

Although, there is a "?" in the related device, in the device manager.
Please, check the related screenshot.
AMD_PSPAMD_PSP

I suppose that this "?" in the device means that I should install a driver, right?

Thank you very much for your replies

You're very welcome.

The drivers have installed fine.

There is nothing wrong with your PC.

The icons you see are keys, not question marks.

The other device must be a TPM 2.0 device.

See the screenshot from my PC.

Since this is an Intel PC, it only has the TPM device and it is the older 1.2 version.

You can see the same key icon next to it, and the main security devices label also has the key next to it.

The key indicates 'Security.'
