My motherboard is HP 8653 (U3E1) Version A (SMVB) I would like to install a SSD drive but I'm really nor sure what to get.. I see there is an M2_2800 slot for the SSD. I'd like to put a 500 gig drive in there so I need some advice on what to get. I've read about one slot and two slot and I have no idea weather it is a one or a two slot.

Hi,
You can install an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD of your preferred brand and capacity. Something like the Samsung 980 would be great
Example

On page 12 in the link below you can see the steps to install the drive.

You can create a bootable USB drive with Windows and use it to perform a clean install of the OS.
Hope it helps,
David

It would of been nice if the servicing manual was in English. Would this drive work in this computer, it also has a heat sink on it?

Hi,
Yes, that will work well.
I guess the servicing manual is in many languages, put actually the pictures are what counts 😀
Maybe this video can come in handy
