My Envy desktop has started issuing the error code Disk1 failure, Failure ID is 60FTJJ-7STB7K-WPTWLK-609503, Product ID: M9Z94ABA. When I select continue the computer will boot, but any and all personalization is gone. Desktop is blank.
What type of SSD do I need and can I use a larger SSD and mine is only 128GB.
I have a recovery disk and drive backup. So data is protected.
Please advise as to how I can proceed and with what type of hardware.
Thanks.

Hi:
Please see this discussion...
Solved: M.2 Drives on Thimphu, Intel Z170, WIN - HP Support Community - 6336978
Your PC probably came with a M.2 SATA SSD because that is the only 128 GB SSD shown in the parts list for your PC.
443066-065 | Hard Drive - SSD, GNRC, 128GB, SATA 6.0GB, ECO |
If your PC has BIOS version A.014 or newer the faster NVMe-type M.2 SSD should work.
They have read/write speeds around 5x faster than a SATA SSD has.
You can install a M.2 SSD having a greater storage capacity if you want.
I recommend either the Samsung 980 (not 980 Pro), or the Western Digital Blue SN570 NVMe SSDs.
If you want to stick with a SATA M.2 SSD, then I recommend the Western Digital Blue SA510 M.2 SATA SSD.
