I wanted to add to this post that I was able to update my Envy 27 p002 AIO unit from the stock 128GB M2 SSD to a samsung 960 Pro 512GB stick.  works perfectly..

HP ENVY All-in-One - 24-n014 (Touch) has the same mobotherboard, came with 1TB HDD, i upgraded to SSD to only later notice it has the M.2 slot, ordered 960 Evo M.2 system recognized instanly. Just make sure you guys push it deep enogh, i made that mistake and thought the M.2 ssd was not supported.
