my SSD recently stopped working (not detected in the bios) and I have been attempting to contact a member of customer support to see if my warranty is still valid (SSD was purchased in a pre-made computer around 2 years ago). However, the serial number on the SSD appears to not function in the website's warranty check and I have not been able to contact any member of customer support.

I can not determine your specific warrant status. What I can do is ask for HP help.
Expect an official reply usually within 36 hours.
Individual components are not warranted separately. The whole unit is a single warranty. Typically the warranty on the whole product is 1 year. There are exceptions on specific models.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
