When I plug a Thumb Drive into any of my USB 2.0 ports it is not recognized. I have tried multiple Thumb Drives with no recognition for any of them.

Greetings,
Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Is any USB device recognized when connected to all USB 2.0 ports on your PC? Are devices recognized when connected to USB 3.0 ports?
This could mean you have a USB 2.0 driver problem or a USB 2.0 hardware controller problem. A USB 2.0 hardware problem may require replacing the motherboard.
Check Device Manager for USB 2.0 driver problems.

Although there are many reasons for this fail, the most fails are caused by improperly removing the Thumb Drive. Did you know that it must be properly ejected to prevent this issue? Here are some help articles.
