We have purchased a number of HP TouchSmat Recline all-in-one PCs that we on sell to out customers with our OEM software.
On two copies of theses device we found that the screen of the computer is "drooping" whilst in in its most "normal" desktop position. That is - if you tilt it away from you from vertical position to say 75 degrees away from your face, it tend to come back to vertical position (90 degrees with the desk top being the reference).
My two technicians tried to figure out on "what bolt to tighten", with no avail.
Would somebody in the community or within HP give us a tip on what needs to be done to tighten apparently loose mechanical connection?
THANK YOU!

Hi! @GO2Altitude, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!
I understand the when you recline the screen to 75 degrees the screen drops back to 90-degree position on your PC.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
As you mentioned when you recline the screen to 75 degrees the screen drops back to 90-degree position.
I have checked the specifications of your PC. And found a service advisory related to the issue you have mentioned.
The computer's stand does not maintain its position after an extended period of time. The stand eventually drops to the lowest height setting.
To fix this issue you have replace the stand with the part number listed below.
ASSY, Stand w/cables Colossus v2

@GO2Altitude, It's great to hear from you again.
I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us again.
I have checked the records and found the advisory applies only to HP ENVY Recline TouchSmart 27 Series All-in-One Desktop PCs.
And the part number I shared with you is only for HP ENVY Recline TouchSmart 27.
I found an advisory on HP envy recline 23 PC. The issue is Cracked Stand Base Cover.
Check if you see a crack near the base cover. If you see a crack near the base cover it could be affecting the screen not standing in a fixed position.
If you don't see a crack on the base cover. It could be a hardware issue with the stand. Please replace the stand to fix the issue.
To fix this issue you have replaced the part with the part number listed below.
- 754459-001: COVER, REAR, STAND RISER
You can purchase the part from HP parts store using this link.
If you need the exact part number for the stand, please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.
Hope this helps!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
