I would like to upgrade my RAM to 32 GB. I currently have two slots with 8 GB each. I saw that you could have 32GB of RAM if you have Windows 10 (64-bit), which I do. I am considering upgrading since one of my 8GB has issues. If I can go with 32GB, should I get two 16GB or one 32GB? And how can I tell which memory slot is number one?

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC:
HP Pavilion 590-p0024 Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Support
The maximum memory is 32 GB installed in 2 x 16 GB chips.
A single 32 GB memory chip won't work, and your PC's memory will run better in dual channel mode anyway with 2 x 16 GB memory chips.
A single 32 GB memory chip would only run in the lower performing single channel mode.

You're very welcome.
I usually recommend Crucial memory because they have reports which show which memory is compatible with the PC.
HP Pavilion 590-p0024 | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial IN
The memory specs for your PC indicate it uses DDR4-2400 CL 17 memory.
You can also install DDR4-3200 CL22 memory.
It will automatically bridge to 2400 MHz because that is as fast as your PC's AMD Ryzen3-2200G processor can run the memory at.
I would get the green circuit board memory, and you get the part numbers on Amazon.

I don't know why the Crucial USA report for your PC doesn't show up when I do a search.
