I am trying to find out the max ram I can upgrade my computer to. Currently, it has 8GB. I do a lot of streaming and gaming. I know I want at least 16GB, but not sure if the desktop can do more. Thank you for any help.

To add RAM you need more RAM, nothing magic normally

hi
thank' s @alina104
virtual memory is well known, but at these limits, it will not replace an insufficient amount of RAM, inefficient with an HDD disk, slower than RAM
you can remove some programs at startup, but only up to a certain point, especially nowadays
the manufacturers, taking advantage that the users have more and more memory live, they add programs, services, and we will lose functionalities, sometimes more or less useful, and at some point, anyway, that is no longer enough, I did the report with my computer, and believe me I know how to clean!
upgrade computer h9-1228ef mot...
And it's getting too constraining to try to suppress it all
currently under windows 10 and windows 11, the minimum in my opinion is to have 16 gb of ram, more there indeed, may not be necessary!
This, of course, depends on the use that is made.
software, optimization, have their own pitfalls, and yes for some, on the one hand it does not change much, and moreover they have their own system in the background, which monitors your system, addition, so useless to 'a cumbersome program!
I have tested quite a few of them, at first you have the impression, and you give yourself the impression that it is super efficient, but, in the end, it is of very little use!
so yes, there are optimizations to be done, but nothing better than adding memory, if we lack too much
