I would like to upgrade the WIFI card to take advantaged of the higher WIFI speed that is now available.
Is there a direct replacement for the existing WIFI card that would accomplish this?
If so, what is the card, and difficulty to replace the existing card.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks

Open up your PC and check to see that there are two antenna wires connected to the currently installed Wi-Fi adapter.
If there are, you should be able to upgrade to this model Wi-Fi adapter.
Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo HP part # 724935-001
You should be able to find the card on eBay.
Search by the HP part number:
The first one on the above list is not the card I recommended.
How hard would it be?
Unfortunately, I have no idea because there is no procedure to remove and replace the Wi-Fi adapter in your PC.
Before you install the new card, uninstall the Wi-Fi adapter and driver and Bluetooth adapter and driver (if applicable) in the device manager. Then shut down and unplug the PC.
You have to carefully remove the two antenna wires from the card, unscrew one Philips head screw, remove the card, and install the new one.
Here is the link to the service manual for a HP notebook that would use the same type of Wi-Fi adapter and it explains how to remove and replace the card. Yours would be the same.

If your PC only has one antenna wire or it looks too difficult to access where the Wi-Fi card is located on the motherboard, then you can use dual band USB adapter instead.
