Hello,
Front USB ports are not detecting USB 3.0 drives on HP Pavilion Desktop - 550-107ur and USB2.0 drives are working well.
Even the same drives are working with back USB. We tried reinstalling windows and updating latest drivers. Still the problem not rectified. Kindly assist

Hi
I am not an HP employee.
The cause of this type of error when all other (front panel and back I/O shield) USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports work is usually a loose front panel cable connection to the motherboard USB 3.0 header or the front USB 3.0 ports or wiring has failed.
You can visually inspect for a loose cable and reseat the FP USB 3.0 motherboard connection if you are okay doing this or contact HP Support for assistance.
