It appears that the USB ports quit receiving after a period of time (variable). I have turned off all sleep modes and have disabled turning off the USB ports if the system goes into sleep mode.. Have checked for driver updates and tested the hardware from the bios. This only appears to happen under Windows 10.

@TheOtherJC , welcome to the Community.
What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.

Intermittent hardware problems are tough to diagnose.
I would run HP diagnostics. Start the PC. Tap "ESC", select "F2". Run system tests. You can also run Component tests if desired.
Are you running multiple operating systems on the PC where the alternate operating system does not exhibit the same symptoms?
Check Device Manager for USB errors when the USB ports fail. I would guess you have a hardware problem when USB cuts out and you have no errors in Device Manager.
Run a disk check (Link) to check for corrupted system files.

I ran all diags for over 3 days and the mouse and keyboard still ran. Running Windows 10 (21H1) and it will stop working after a period of time. I have turned off Sleep modes and any selections to turn off the USB ports. Hard to check the USB port failure when the keyboard and mouse are not functional.
I also ran a system integrity check and it came back as nothing wrong.

Thank you for the additional information, @TheOtherJC!
I can't prove it, but I believe that the problem may be caused by Win 21H1. I had all kinds of problems with 20H2 when it was first release and didn't use it until MS forced the issue. I haven't updated to 21H1 at this point because it is too new for me. I suggest reverting to the previous version of Windows, if you can, to see if the problem is solved.
If you do revert to a previous version, I would appreciate hearing the outcome.
