My usb ports are inactive. they are greyed out in the bios. hardware diagnostics just tell me what i already know.
system specs:
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5625U with Radeon Graphics (2.30 GHz)
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.4 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I'm confused.
How did you navigate the BIOS or check your PC's hardware if all USB ports are inactive?
Or maybe only some USB ports are down. Where? Front USB or rear USB?
Did HP Diagnostics give an error code which can be checked at this HP Site.
It sounds like a MB USB controller problem if a group of USB ports tied to a specific MB USB controller (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0) are down.
