Product: IPIEL-LA3

I have been trying to swap the CPU on a HP system with a IPIEL-LA3 motherboard. HP's webpage says that the board is compatible with Core 2 Duos and Quads. I have tried both an  E7300 (C2D), and a Q8200 (C2Q). Both of them just makes the board beep, and not boot.

Please read the entire post and check which IPIEL-LA3 variant board you have

 

hp quick specs for this ASUS made for HP IPIEL-LA3 (Eureka3) mptherboard 

 

Intel Core 2 Quad (Yorkfield core) series  (q8200 is in this series)

Intel Core 2 Duo (Wolfdale core) Dual Core series  (e7300 is in this series)

    does the board work with it's original processor installed?

     

    have you tried resetting the cmos

    how much ram is installed? max is 8gb ram
