HP ENVY Notebook- 17t-n100 CT
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi!

My HP Envy Notebook 17t-n100CT (CND54576YN) doesn't recognize ANY devices I plug into my USB ports. When I go to the Device Manager, it shows the Universal Serial Bus Controller with an exclamation point.

I've tried the following:

  1. disabling and then enabling it the Universal Serial Bus Controller- doesn't work.
  2. uninstalling and then using the "Scan for hardware changes" - laptop tries to install the driver, but an error message appears saying, "No driver found" and the exclamation point remains.
  3. restarting my computer - doesn't work.
  4. updating all of my drivers using the Intel Driver Update Utility - updated only the Pro/set Wireless driver b/c nothing else was available.
  5. making sure all of my Windows updates have been installed - didn't work.
  6. going to HP's website and downloading all driver updates that were available - didn't work.
  7. read a lot of different websites/forums and still haven't found the answer or where I can download the driver.

Can someone help me please?

Thank you so much!
m
