The smbus controller probably didn't need a driver.  If you look at the setup information file inside the chipset driver file, it actually has a script that states in substance 'needs no driver.'  It just installs a null driver to make the device show up in its proper place in the device manager (under the system devices category).

 

However, the PCI data acquisition and signal processing controller has something to do with processor temperature management, so that is probably a driver you would want to have been installed.

 

I have no idea what the PCI device does.
