Product: HP G5370uk Desktop PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU  550@3.2GHz, 3200 Mhz, 2 Cores, 4 Logical processors

On a MSI 2A9C motherboard version 1.1

BIOS version  - Amerocan Megatrends Inc 6.18, 05/01/2012

with 12GB Physical Memory.

Can I upgrade this to an I5 chip, without changing motherboards?

This discussion provides the processors you can install in your PC.

Seems like the person in the above discussion had a similar model PC that came from the factory with an i5-750 processor.

 

If you install one of the Intel i5 or i7 quad core processors, your PC must have a discrete graphics card because the onboard Intel graphics adapter is only supported for PC's with the Intel dual core processors.
