Hello!
I have a OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-020t CTO - and I'm trying to figure out what graphics cards/ maybe processor I can use to update it with so I can better use VR. Right now I nvidia geforce gtx 1060 3gb , but I get a lot of lag, stutter and crashes on many VR games (for example beat saber while doesn't crash I get a lot of stutter and graphics issues). So looking to see what I can do to upgrade but don't have the slightest idea what cards can even work in my computer. Processor is i5-7400 3.00 GHZ is that is need and 12GB of RAM. RAM seems fine as what I can tell I'm using only slightly over half of it when I play VR. Even loading up VR seems to have some issues with the graphics. My HP motherboard is one of the Titans. I think a Titan 2 but i can't remember where I found that info before. I'd be happy to answer any questions/clarify as needed.
Thanks!

Hello
Normally if there is no error, your pc is an originally configurable model, it can help!
Your motherboard is a Tampa
Tampa motherboard specifications.
However, you should check what exactly is recommended for your equipment!
I am unfortunately not stuck in VR product, but to see if you do not have another problem with the device either, configuration problem or whatever.
It would be regretful to invest in a graphics card, and that it does not work better!
meanwhile it is mentioned this:
- Dual channel (2 DIMMs per channel) memory architecture
- Four DDR4 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets
- Supports PC4-19200 (DDR4-2400)
- Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 UDIMMs
- Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory. - Supports up to 32 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (3 GB) (GDDR5)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (8 GB) (GDDR5)
- Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 SLI (8 GB) (GDDR5)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (8 GB) (GDDR5X)
- Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI (8 GB) (GDDR5X)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti (11 GB) (GDDR5X)
- 500 W
- 750 W
in function it will be necessary to check if the power supply module is sufficient
I would have to search if I can find the info, but recent rtx models might also work
Most often I recommend going to a pro, if he has what you need you can test different models!

Your I5 is a suspect as a minimum. An I7-6700K skylake or better is suggest for best game play.
Your unit has been tested with the:
- Intel Core i7-7700 (Kabylake) (65 W) 3.6 GHz
- Intel Core i7-7700K (Kabylake) (91 W) 4.2 GHz. Has a 42% gain over the i5-7400
Requirements for the VR beat saber your GTX1060 meets the best recommendation level (as a starting point).
On this site, you can test the existing computer, and also test with variations of CPU and GPU.
