Hi everyone. I purchased an HP Pavilion TP-01 from Costco with a 9th gen i5 processor and a RX 550 2 GB graphics card. I am interested in upgrading the GPU in this machine and want to know what upgrades are possible and how to implement those upgrades. This is what my desktop looks like, but the internals are different, HP Pavilion Desktop - 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11400F - AMD Radeon 550 - Windows 11 | Costco
Thanks in advance!

Dear MIBM, there happens to be HP community links already available on this very subject matter, for example:
This thread discusses getting a RX 5500 XT 8GB graphics card to work on a PC I believe is very similar to yours -please verify. The RX 5500 XT is a 130 watt card. Therefore, you need to upgrade your PSU to at least 400 watt -500 watt to err on the side of caution.
Btw, the RX 5500 XT is a much faster GPU than the RX 550: +343% according to UserBenchMark dot com:
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-5500-XT-vs-AMD-RX-550/4060vs3925
The problem is pricing. Thanks to bitmining, scalping and supply issues, upgrading your GPU is very expensive. Sadly, not likely to change any time soon.
Please notice that according to the link's author, quote: "The 500 W PSU works great. . . .That graphics card fits into the Mini Tower very well - just an ATX 8-PIN adapter with 180 degrees I recommend for this size of card."
And speaking of upgrades, perhaps you want to consider the faster AMD Ryzen 7 5700G CPU: 3.8 GHz nominal and a whopping 4.6 GHz max boost clock, 16 MB L3 cache, 8 cores and 16 threads all with the same TDP incidentally: only 66 watt.
I would also recommend 2x8GB (2x16GB if you have the funds) of DDR4 PC4-25600 (3200MHz!) RAM for your PC.
Good luck!
