Dear all
I have an Omen Desktop PC -880-181 nf. I would like to upgrade the RAM to max.
I guess it would be DDR4. What is the max memory and frequency for the mentioned Desktop. I have a MSI Motherboard MS-7A61 Ver1.3.
Thanks for tour help
take care

Hi:
The product specs indicate that the PC can support 4 x 8 Go of memory.
OMEN by HP 880-181nf Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Support
Motherboard specs:
HP Desktop PCs - motherboard specifications, Tampa2 | HP® Support
I believe the memory specs are incorrect for the amount.
If the PC has 4 memory slots, each slot can support a 16 Go DDR4-2666 CL19 or DDR4-3200 CL22 memory chip for a total of 64 Go.
The Crucial memory report indicates the same:
HP OMEN 880-181nf | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com
You can also run this command to confirm that 64 Go of memory is supported:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
