Example: Pavilion 590-P0053
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The Pavilion 590 has a SSD 128 GB is it possible to replace this with a larger SSD and also move ALL data and OS to the new SSD?

Design specs (notch) is a must. Crucial items are OK.

@NJS-1,

You will need to clarify the exact model number or part number of the unit.

I could find HP 590 submodel 0053in and 0053w. BTW, the 0053w states a 16GB Optane, not a 128GB SSD.

The simple way is to clone the drive. Read here,

Before I can list the parts, you need to clarify.

@NJS-1,

According to the specs, your 128GB SSD is a M.2 NMVE device.  Those have a single notch on the card.

The superfast Samsung 970 EVO is matched that design.  I personally have the 500GB in my newest build.

You will need an external NVMe to USB3.0 adapter and MUST use Macrium Reflect 7 to clone the SSD.

If you hurry this is on sale.

I have checked the C: Drive in Device Manager and it states it is a WDC SN520 SDAPWUW-128G-1006, according to WDC  website it has two notch and not a single one.

My system seems to have slowed up from pressing the on switch it takes over a minute b/4 it displays the HP logo and ideas?
