I recently purchased a Radeon W6400 engineering graphics card for my HP 295 G6 microtower only to find out that the PSU that came with it is only 180W (L70042-002) . The card requires a minimum of 350W of PSU capacity. Having gone through similar questions in this community, I found out that there are possibly two options for an upgrade,
L69242-800 Power Supply - 400W
L05757-800 Power Supply - 500W
I wanted to confirm if either of the above two power supply are compatible with PC i have got? I don't want to be bitten twice.
Thank you in advance.

hi
I have a big doubt, if we look at this

Specs for your system show two compatible power supplies
There is a discussion about 400 watt power supplies by @NonSequitur777 here
@Prométhée beat me to it
I would like to add the the W6400 only needs a 250 watt power supply according to tech power up
I do not know if the W6400 would be recognized. I assume your 295 G6 has a UEFI bios which should work.
Thank you for using HP products and posting to the community.

hi @BeemerBiker
I saw this subject, but obviously having no confirmation, I abstained, I was looking in the hp part, but after x page, I only found the 180w reference, so gave up!

Thank you for pointing me to techpowerup website. This is now a bit confusing. The AMD Radeon Pro quick user guide mentions the min power requirement to be 350W in stead of 250W as on techpowerup.
https://www.amd.com/system/files/documents/radeon-pro-w6000-series-quick-setup-guide.pdf
I will have to first confirm that now.

hi
you must check with the manufacturer of the chosen graphics card
a graphics card can have different requirements depending on the manufacturer, ( if like many models, we can find different ones, several manufacturers ) and this varies, also depending on the configuration of the computer
