I want to upgrade the 180 W power supply.  Will the 400 W Platinum fit into the Envy TE01-0014 case.  What power supply will fit?

The power supplies used are proprietary units.  They are not ATX 24 pin supplies. The 400W and 500W are listed.

Here is a spreadsheet with PSU model numbers.  . Availability is direct from HP or thru 3rd party.

The part numbers are all cross platform.  The TE01 series can use any other the listed PSU part numbers. The only reason I have not continued with the data on your unit is because rarely does anyone report back after the upgrade.  If you report back the PSU part number and the GPU card installed I would gladly update the spreadsheet.😀😂

I upgraded the power supply in my Envy TE01-0014 with the 500w Gold PSU part #L05757-800.  It fits like a glove, has the two 4-pin connectors for the MB (P1 & P3), the little 7-pin PSU control connector (P2), a 6-pin connector that I'm using for my Radeon RX460 graphics card, and another 6+2 pin connector if your graphics card needs 8 pins I guess?  Very clean and simple replacement/upgrade project.  FWIW, the PSU label states each of the 4 power circuits are rated 12.1V @ 16A, with 387.2w max for MAIN+CPU and 320w max for VG1+VG2, and total power 500w max.

Here's a picture with the drive bay shield removed.

Thank you for your reply,  verifying my data. The picture was extra nice.

That inline 7 pin connector....how many wires.  The original only had 3.  There is a new part number for the 500W now being used, it has more wires on the 7 pin inline plug.

The 500w PSU P2 connector has 6 wires.  White/red, white, black, green, gray, empty, black.  Here's a better picture, front of computer is to the left. The old PSU did not have the first three wires.
